Submission Guidelines – Journal of Data and Digital Innovation (JDDI)
The Journal of Data and Digital Innovation (JDDI) accepts original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications related to data science, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. Authors must follow the submission guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
1. Submission Process
Step 1: Prepare Your Manuscript
Ensure that your manuscript follows the JDDI Author Guidelines, including:
- Word count: Between 2,000 and 10,000 words (depending on article type).
- Formatting:
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.
- Margins: 1-inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
- Headings: Use a structured format (e.g., Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion).
- Figures and Tables:
- Must be numbered (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).
- Should be cited in the text and provided in high-resolution format.
- References: Must follow APA (7th edition) citation style with DOIs where available.
Step 2: Register and Submit Online
- Authors must submit their manuscripts through the JDDI Online Submission System [insert submission link].
- First-time users must create an account before submission.
Step 3: Cover Letter
A cover letter should be uploaded with the submission, including:
- Title of the manuscript.
- A brief summary of the study’s significance.
- A statement confirming that the manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
- Any potential conflicts of interest or funding sources.
Step 4: File Submission
Upload the following files:
- Manuscript file (Word format, without author details for double-blind review).
- Title page (Separate file, including author names, affiliations, and corresponding author details).
- Figures and tables (if not embedded in the main text).
2. Ethical Considerations
- Plagiarism Check: All submissions are checked using Turnitin (similarity must be below 15%).
- Research Ethics:
- Studies involving human or animal subjects require ethical approval.
- Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.
3. Peer Review and Decision Process
- Initial Screening (7–10 days): The editorial team checks for scope, formatting, and plagiarism compliance.
- Double-Blind Peer Review (4–6 weeks): At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript.
- Revision and Resubmission (if needed): Authors must respond to reviewer comments with a point-by-point reply.
- Final Decision (8–12 weeks): The editorial board makes the final acceptance or rejection decision.
4. Copyright and Open Access
- Authors retain full copyright of their work.
- Published articles are licensed under Creative Commons (CC BY or CC BY-NC).
- Articles are freely accessible under JDDI’s open-access policy.
