Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines – Journal of Data and Digital Innovation (JDDI)
The Journal of Data and Digital Innovation (JDDI) welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications in the fields of data science, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. To ensure a smooth submission and publication process, authors must adhere to the following guidelines.
1. Manuscript Categories
JDDI accepts the following types of submissions:
- Research Articles (4,000–8,000 words): Original research with significant contributions.
- Review Articles (6,000–10,000 words): Comprehensive surveys of literature with critical insights.
- Case Studies (3,000–5,000 words): Real-world applications and analysis of digital innovations.
- Short Communications (2,000–3,500 words): Brief reports on novel findings or methodologies.
2. Manuscript Structure
Title Page
- Title (concise and descriptive)
- Full names of all authors
- Affiliations (institution, department, city, country)
- Corresponding author’s email
Abstract (250–300 words)
- A concise summary of the study, including objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Include 3–6 keywords relevant to the study.
Introduction
- Background and significance of the study.
- Clearly stated research problem and objectives.
- Review of relevant literature.
Methodology
- Detailed description of research methods, tools, and datasets used.
- Ethical considerations, if applicable.
Results and Discussion
- Clear presentation of findings with tables, figures, and statistical analysis.
- Interpretation and comparison with existing research.
Conclusion
- Summary of key findings and their implications.
- Limitations and recommendations for future research.
References
- Follow APA 7th edition citation style.
- Use DOIs or URLs for online references whenever possible.
3. Formatting and Style
- Manuscripts should be written in clear, academic English.
- Use Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced text.
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
- Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially and cited in the text.
4. Submission Guidelines
- Manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system [insert link].
- The corresponding author must confirm that:
- The submission is original and unpublished.
- The manuscript is not under review elsewhere.
- All authors have approved the final version.
5. Ethical Considerations
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited (checked using Turnitin; similarity must be below 15%).
- Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.
- Studies involving human or animal subjects must provide ethical approval.
6. Peer Review Process
- JDDI follows a double-blind peer review process.
- Review decisions typically take 4–6 weeks.
- Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts before final acceptance.
